ISSUE OF THE DAY
Well, the wait is over.
For the first time in 21 years, Michigan will play a basketball game as the No. 1 team in America.
How will they handle it?
Michigan coach John Beilein said Tuesday that he tried to put the entire thing into perspective for his club, asking them how they got to 19-1 in the first place.
"We put it in perspective, and said to them 'how did we get here?' " he said. "'Did we get here because we were obsessed with being No. 1, or did we get here because we worked hard every day?'
"Let's keep doing exactly what we were doing."
That seems to be the perfect way of approaching this. Michigan has already been getting everyone's best shot for basically the entire season.
The Wolverines have been a top five team all year, and for the most part, they've handled that pressure well.
Does that pressure ramp up even more now with the No. 1 tag?
Will Michigan go about its business and play like the top-ranked club in America? Or will the hype get to the Wolverines. Also, who starts if Jordan Morgan (ankle injury) can't play?
