TAMPA, Fla. -- The Michigan football team nearly pulled off the upset Saturday at Raymond James Stadium.

But nearly isn't quite good enough.

The Wolverines closed out their 2012 campaign with a 33-28 loss to South Carolina in the Outback Bowl, finishing the year at 8-5.
