Congrats Huron'11 proud of my fellow classmates. One One get it done. One of the smartest, athletic, and talented classes to ever pass through the halls of Huron High. We'll change the world don't you older folks worry.

Congratulations to those who are graduating. I think it is a wonderful step in your lives. The question I have for the district is - how many did not graduate?

I think class of 1981 was the first year we graduated with the highest total of graduates ever, I think that number was around 450. 30 years is a long time.

Pioneer Hi School in 1981 had the largest graduating class ever at that time. Since then it has grown. I think it is in the yearbook along with Paul Bunyans statue near the bus entrance. Remember?

Not exactly sure what you mean. Are you discussing Huron? My younger son's graduating class at Pioneer was nearly 750. His older brother's was nearly 700.

By all means, take a mile stone accomplishment for young adults and use it as an opportunity to complain. As for the '11 class I say congratulations! Myself, I'm encouraged by what I've seen from my youngster and his classmates and I'm confident in the future.

It's appropriate that the photo caption is ungrammatical. Have you seen the local high schools' student-newspapers? Earning a diploma seems to mean less and less each year.

The Communicator (Community High School's student newspaper) won best in the state and was awarded in the top ten on the national level.

If you think that a college degree isn't worth anything, then you aren't paying attention. Going forward, it will take at least an advanced college degree to do well in our society (and most others).

I just heard that college isn't worth anything anymore. Meaning whatever you grad from college in? Might not mean anything to anyone at all. I know I never went into the field I meant to go into and ended up loving my job all the same.

Caption reads, "Students prepare to graduation..."???

I think she means that it is grammatically incorrect.... Change the 'to' to 'for' and it works. Better yet, just change 'graduation' to 'graduate.'

The grades from the teachers haven't come thru yet. If they don't pass the tests the teachers have given them to grad with, then they have to make it up thru summer school or GED.
