2 drivers involved in crashes arrested for suspected drunken driving, police say
Two crashes over the weekend resulted in drunken driving arrests in Ypsilanti Township and Ann Arbor Township, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department said today.
A vehicle struck a house in the 2000 block of Colony Way on Friday, reports said.
Police said the 24-year-old driver was not injured and was discovered to be intoxicated. He was jailed.
On Saturday, deputies responded to a one-car crash in the area of Geddes Road and Dixboro Road in Ann Arbor Township. The 21-year-old driver from Dearborn Heights wasn't injured and was arrested for suspected drunken driving.
Police are seeing charges of operating while intoxicated against both drivers.

Now who's being juvenile? Accident, crash and/or NEGLIGENCE have completely different legal consequences. Should you be involved in a crash caused by someone else's negligence, you would care much more about the difference.

Pish tush. Sounds like Newspeak to me. I'll stick with "accident."

@tex drunken driving is a willful act therefore negligence causing a crash is NOT the same as an accident or act of God.

"Technical term"? I'm not sure what you mean by that. The "correct" definition, perhaps? So if someone's brakes fail and he hits a tree, that's an accident, but if he's drunk it's a crash? Crash still seems kind of juvenile, and accidents happen, as the saying goes.

Crash is the technical term. Accident isn't used because the entire thing could have been prevented.

"Crash" seems like such a juvenile word. What about "accident"?
