2 men ordered to stand trial in Pittsfield Township burglary

By Art Aisner

Two men who were arrested following a burglary in a Pittsfield Township apartment complex were ordered to stand trial last week.

Marty Cole and Dion Davis waived their rights to preliminary hearings on charges of breaking and entering a building and resisting arrest, court records show.

They were returned to the Washtenaw County Jail pending pre-trial hearings on April 1.

The suspects, both 19, were caught by police officers who responded to a burglary-in-progress call at the Golfside Lake Apartments on Feb. 12, reports said.

The caller reported seeing two men force their way into an apartment in the two-story building. The caller provided good physical descriptions of the men to officers, who arrested them in the vicinity after a short foot chase.
