2 Thursday morning power outages scheduled for Pittsfield Township
DTE Energy is planning two scheduled power outages on Thursday morning, according to the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety.
A Nixle alert was sent out by the safety department Tuesday afternoon.
The first of the outages will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Ellsworth Road between State Street and Lohr Road, as well as on Lohr between Ellsworth and Waterways Drive.
The second outage will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Plaza Drive between Interstate 94 and Ellsworth Road.
During the outages, DTE recommends unplugging electronics in order to prevent damage.
Should severe weather conditions interfere with DTE's ability to perform the planned work, it will reschedule for Friday.

Will this fix the 8 power outages I have had in the last 3 months?

Amen motorcycleminer. That whole area has been a nightmare this spring, especially during the evening rush hour. First the repaving on State between Eisenhower and Oakwood, and now the "roundabout" construction at Ellsworth. Traffic backs up on southbound State Street all the way back to downtown after 5:00. Very frustrating, especially when one wants to go west on I-94, but still has to wait in the "Eastbound" traffic mess.

DTE notifies customers directly for planned outages and for only those customers that will be affected. Pittsfield Twp. was notified as a customer as they have Twp. facilities at State and Ellsworth. Their staff likely made the decision on the broader notice that was picked up by AnnArbor.com

So typical of DTE; I am a DTE customer and they have my e-mail yet I've only heard from Pittsfield (thank you). And, again, DTE is so imprecise in its statement: 'The first of the outages will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Ellsworth Road between State Street and Lohr Road, as well as on Lohr between Ellsworth and Waterways Drive.' How about telling us how far west you're talking about. The last time DTE did something like that they didn't cut off power on the day specified then did it the next day with no notification. And, of course, we lost power in July of last year and lost a refrigerator full of food on a clear, warm, dry day and were told that it was an 'act of nature' so we could replace the food at our expense. Time for a non-profit organization instead of these greedy, corporation profit driven liars.

'on Ellsworth Road between State Street and Lohr Road' Sounds like Lohr Road is as far west as they are going. Or am I missing something?
