2 Ypsilanti women suspected in domestic assaults
Two domestic disputes Saturday in Ypsilanti — one involving the breaking of glass and other items and the other allegedly spiraling into assault — may end in charges for the women involved.
In the first case, reported at 8:32 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Ferris Street after a caller reported yelling between a male and female coupled with the sound of glass breaking. As police investigated at the scene, the woman refused to let the man leave the house, then began breaking more household items, police said.
Police forwarded the matter to prosecutors for possible action.
Thirty-five minutes later, police were sent to the 600 block of East Michigan Avenue after a caller reported an argument between a man and woman arguing over the woman’s drug addiction. The man told officers the woman assaulted him but fled the scene before they arrived.
Charges in that case are pending, police said.
Neither suspect was arrested.
