Images from the 2013 Shamrocks and Shenanigans 5K

By Daniel Brenner

More than 2,600 participants attended the 2013 Shamrocks and Shenanigans in Ann Arbor on Sunday. The 5K is sponsored by downtown Ann Arbor's Conor O'Neill's Irish Pub and benefits the University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital's Save A Heart program.

Race Director Steve Angerman explains they always try to outdue the previous year and this year's goals is to raise more than $60,000. This is the 14th year of the event.

That's my fault, the images do not accurately portray the amount of people who attended. Anyone who was there or even drove near downtown could tell you it was a large crowd. Hopefully do better in future events

This is a strange selection of photos -- where are the photos of the larger crowds of runners? Seems the photographer caught a slight few bringing up the rear, but ignored the rest. This is not very representative of the race.

Looks like a light crowd. How many people participated that weren't part of the show?
