3-car accident slows traffic on eastbound I-94 at State Street

A three-car accident had eastbound I-94 in Ann Arbor down to one lane and was considerably slowing traffic Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred at about 6 p.m., according to Washtenaw County dispatch. Michigan State Police were still working the scene around 6:45 p.m., Ann Arbor police said

The accident occurred on I-94 east of the South State Street exit. No other details immediately were available.

They still hadn't cleared the accident at 8pm, about 3 hours after the accident. Looked like just a fender bender when I crawled past it at 5:50. Why did it take so long to clear up?

"The accident occurred at about 6 p.m...." it was well before 6pm. i got on ebound 94 at jackson rd at 515 and was almost immediately stopped under liberty rd overpass. i crawled to the accident scene about 612.

gas is almost $4.20 a gallon and people drive like it's free.
