3 crashes snarl morning commute in Ann Arbor
Three crashes were affecting the morning commute in the Ann Arbor area Monday.
Crashes were reported on westbound Interstate 94 at Michigan Avenue, on northbound U.S. 23 at Washtenaw Avenue and on northbound U.S. 23 north of Plymouth Road.
The crashes were all believed to have involved two vehicles, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said.
State police had arrived at the crash on 94 and the one at U.S. 23 and Washtenaw Avenue as of 8:05 a.m. Monday, the dispatcher said, but were still on the way to the crash at 23 north of Plymouth Road.

I hate that interchange between 94 and 23. People don't understand that the far right late is an exit only onto 23 until it is too late so they zip across the divide. Or they realized 'oh, I wanted to be on 23!' and zip into the far right lane at the last second. I've seen a car do this dance THREE TIMES. On off on off on, wait, ON! No wonder there are accidents. I say build up that divide. It's not the end of the world. You can just get off at the next exit, turn around and try it again.

Dayum people, get off of your phones, put down your makeup cases, and stop trying to eat a full McDonald's entree from your lap while navigating a 2 ton vehicle at 70 m.p.h. Pay attention to the road so we can all get to work without you closing the roads down.
