4 arrested in Ypsilanti Township apartment break-in

By Amalie Nash

Four young men were arrested Wednesday after Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies caught them inside an Ypsilanti Township apartment.

Deputies were first called to a break-in at an apartment in the 2100 block of Golfside Road at 3:15 p.m., but the burglars were gone when police arrived, a sheriff's summary said.

A short time later, a witness called police to report suspicious men carrying computer equipment into a nearby apartment, the summary said. Deputies found the four young men inside and arrested them.

Police said the stolen property was recovered.

Three of the young men were taken to the Washtenaw County Jail and the fourth was transported to the Washtenaw County Juvenile Detention Center.

A 19-year-old Inkster man, 23-year-old Ypsilanti Township man, 18-year-old Ypsilanti Township man and 16-year-old Ypsilanti Township boy will be arraigned later today on charges of conspiracy to commit home invasion. The teen also faces charges of resisting and obstructing and possession of marijuana, police said. In addition, the 23-year-old is a Lansing tether parole absconder. Another break-in occurred at the same complex Tuesday, but police did not say whether they are believed to be related.

No more like Apsen Chase aka old international. The name may have changed but the people sure haven't. Well not all of them. I know someone that lived there that said his neighbor was a drug dealer that loved the new security. He (the drug dealer) said them checking ids at the gate kept him safe from getting robbed and didnt stp any of his customers. What a joke
