4 crashes snarl traffic on Washtenaw County expressways

It's a bad day to be driving in evening rush hour traffic in Washtenaw County.

Dispatchers with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department say police are currently working on four crashes on the expressways, as of 6:15 p.m. None are believed to involve life-threatening injuries.

The crashes are on:

  • Eastbound M-14 at Gotfredson Road. Traffic is not believed to be blocked, but is slow.
  • Northbound US-23 at Barker Road. The left lane is blocked.
  • Eastbound M-14 at Barton. The left lane is blocked.
  • Eastbound I-94 at State Street. Traffic is not believed to be blocked, but is slow.

thank goodness I saw the back up at the light at main and depot and figured it could only be an accident on the xway and opted to go the back way of plymouth rd to cherry hill.
