Number of thefts from Ypsilanti homes and vehicles reported Thursday
A number of thefts from vehicles and homes were reported in Ypsilanti on Thursday, the police department said.
Around 3 a.m., police responded to a report that an unknown person had smashed the window of a vehicle near the 400 block of North Hamilton Street. A GPS system and computer bag were stolen.
At 3 p.m., police responded to a reported home invasion in the 200 block of West Cross Street. Police say the apartment wasn't secure at the time. A computer and an iPod were stolen.
Around 7 p.m., police received a call that someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of West Michigan Avenue. A purse was taken.
At 11:15 p.m., police responded to a home invasion in the 500 block of Emmet Street. The resident said her home had been entered over the last couple of days through an unlocked window, and a laptop computer was stolen.
