"When people consider candidates, age is way down on the list," political strategist Joe DiSano told MLive. "It's all about effectiveness, and both Conyers and Dingell are at the upper ranks in Congress."
Conyers, an 83-year-old from Detroit, is running against four other Dems in Michigan's new 13th congressional district.
Dingell, an 86-year-old from Dearborn, faces 25-year-old University of Michigan student Daniel Marcin of Ann Arbor in the new 12th congressional district.
Polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
