National Weather Service issues freeze warning for Ann Arbor area
Cold air moving toward the Ann Arbor area Thursday night is expected to send temperatures into the 20s, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a freeze warning effective from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday.
Temperatures will be in the upper 20s by sunrise across much of southeast Michigan, the weather service said.
Before the cold air moves in, we’ll have a mostly cloudy day Thursday with a high near 60 and breezy conditions. Winds of 15 to 18 mph could gust to 30 mph, the weather service said. There’s a 30 percent chance of rain.
Skies will clear tonight and a low of 29 is expected in the Ann Arbor area. Breezy conditions will continue.
Friday will bring more clouds and a high near 54. A chilly and possibly rainy day is on tap for Saturday. It’ll be mostly cloudy with a high near 43. There’s a 40 percent chance of rain.
Sunday promises to be more pleasant with sunny skies and a high near 53.

Thank Goodness the weather is still normal in Michigan! Remember to let your cars idle a lot longer today so we can warm up the earth with those green house gases!

I never warm up the car. Owner's manual says not to. Just drive slow for the first mile or so. Same with the Hoveround.

In a perfectly tuned engine, that would be about 112 pounds of noxious fumes per gallon of gas. Efficiency-wise, about two gallons of every three goes out the exhaust pipe - buy three gallons to get to use one.
