Ann Arbor gas prices are up 11 cents per gallon over last week, according to AAA Michigan.
The average price for gas in Ann Arbor is $2.74 compared to an average of $2.63 last week.
The statewide average is up 12.8 cents per gallon, and AAA reports Ann Arbor has the fourth highest average of eight metropolitan areas surveyed, which include Detroit, Flint, Lansing/East Lansing and Grand Rapids. AAA surveys 2,800 gas stations on a daily basis. The cheapest gas prices can be found in the Saginaw/Bay City area.
Compared to last year’s $2.66, the average price per gallon in Ann Arbor is 56 cents lower, while the state average is 8 cents higher.
