Ann Arbor gas prices up 3 cents this week to $2.77

Ann Arbor gas prices are up 3 cents per gallon over last week, according to AAA Michigan.

The average price for gas in Ann Arbor is $2.77 compared to an average of $2.74 last week.

Compared to last year’s $2.27, the average price per gallon in Ann Arbor is 50 cents higher. The statewide average is up less than one cent per gallon, but is 45 cents per gallon higher than last year at this time.

AAA surveys eight metropolitan areas, which include Detroit, Flint, Lansing/East Lansing and Grand Rapids. AAA surveys 2,800 gas stations on a daily basis. The cheapest gas prices can be found in the Lansing/East Lansing areas.
