Ann Arbor police released security footage of the burglary at Wenk's Prescription Shop Monday evening, which shows a man breaking through the store's glass door.

Lt. Renee Bush said police received a call at 8:30 p.m. Monday reporting alarms going off at the shop, located at 2355 E. Stadium Blvd. The man made off with cash and prescription drugs from the store.

The man is described as white, wearing a light colored knit hat, a blue jacket and jeans.

The store was closed at the time of the break-in, and no employees were present.

Anyone with information on the break-in is asked to call Ann Arbor police tip line at 734-734-794-6939.

The shaky camera is making me nauseous. Are you just holding up a video camera (sans tripod) to some other screen?

The Jackson Cit-Pat had an artcle about several of these types of break-ins at pharmacies... Wonder if they're related?

My daughter works there! I said a silent prayer that at least she or any other people were not there when it happened. Insurance can cover damage or loss to the store.

If someone were to invent a security camera or film for one that actually showed enough to identify the culprits, their fortune would be made. Man, woman, age? All the films are so badly out of focus on these things, their own mother would have a hard time telling who it is.

Tom, you watch too much CSI. Forensics cost money and that is one thing that MI law enforcement does not have. Jim, Joe and Ace, all too true. This addict seems to know what he is doing but eventually his luck will run out. He is pretty good at hiding his identity but I bet he gets caught bragging to his friends, "Yo dog, did you see me on Youtube last night?"

The speed, skill, and planning of this crime was impressive. Way better than in the movies. This guy was a professional and is long gone.

Should be pretty easy to get a DNA fingerprint as his facial skin cells slough off on top of the boxes.
