Daniel Lee Brown was last seen at his residence in the 2200 block of Hemlock Court in Ann Arbor in the early afternoon Tuesday.

“He left his house and hasn’t returned,” Detective William Stanford said.

Brown, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and dementia, left the home in a dark blue 2005 Dodge Caravan, with a Michigan license plate of CLN-5316.

He hasn't been seen since the home with the vehicle. Brown's family reported him missing Thursday.

Anyone with information about Brown's whereabouts are encouraged to call Stanford at (734) 323-2628 or the Tip Line at (734) 794-6939 or 911.

I'm happy to hear this! Stories like these so rarely have good outcomes.

3 days since Mr. Brown went missing and no update? This does not look good. I'm sorry that Mr. Brown's family is going through this.

Thank you for including a photo of a vehicle similar to that in which this gentleman was last seen, not to mention the license plate number.

I'm having trouble understanding this sentence: "He hasn't been seen since the home with the vehicle."

I'm guessing that the word "leaving" was meant to be inserted between "since" and "the home".

It's my understanding they were hopeful he would return home in the meantime.

Very sad, why in the world did they wait so long? I know if my father left to go somewhere and didn't return that same day, or even a few hours later than whatever errand or visit he left for, I would be putting out the missing information. This man could be many States away from here in that time.

To Tai Ls. I am so sorry. We went through this with my mother for several years. It is so difficult to comprehend for one who has never been in this situation. My sincerest hope that you are reconnected very soon.

Also with adults, there's a specific amount of time that has to pass in order for them to be considered missing. And specific criteria as well... Anytime before the allotted amount they are just considered, well, inconsiderate and irresponsible.

If the battery goes dead the phone will automatically go to voice mail, or if it's been turned off. It doesn't take someone to change that setting, it happens automatically. Prayers going out to your family for a quick return of your father.

-- we thought he got upset or something and maybe went to rent a hotel room for a couple of days- I'm his son- I tried to call his cell phone and it went straight to Voice Mail without ringing- which i find unusual- because he is not tech savvy- he would have had to ask a family member how to change settings like that most likely- So I am highly concerned that he may have been abducted at this point- I hope he's Alive and safe -
