Ann Arbor Tech High School closed Friday due to power outage
Ann Arbor school officials called off classes at Ann Arbor Technological High School Friday after power remained out at the building Thursday night.
By Thursday night, DTE Energy had restored power to most customers affected by Tuesday’s snowstorm, but the Ann Arbor school was an exception.
The overnight snowstorm knocked out power to at least 26,000 customers of DTE Energy in Washtenaw County and thousands more in Washtenaw County.

Maybe DTE can get some of the Tech students to help get the power restored to the school. On the job training, maybe for both sides.

Sure, let's get some untrained students involved in climbing power poles and dealing with high voltage lines. I'm sure they would learn a lot (at least those who survive the experience), and that it would get the power restored more quickly with their "help"!

Recall that the SMART acronym for this school includes " immersed in Technology." A five-day weekend allows AATHS students time to recharge at home.

As an A2 Tech parent, this really stinks. Not happy.

Wow...those students have been out of school for 3 days, that's quite a lot of learning to make up.
