Ann Arbor under weather advisory; 3 to 5 inches of snow expected
An afternoon snowfall could make the evening commute hazardous in the Ann Arbor area.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Washtenaw County and the surrounding area from noon today until 7 a.m. Friday.

The storm will bring total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches, the Weather Service said. Accumulations should total 1 to 3 inches during the afternoon and another 2 to 4 inches overnight.
Motorists can expect slick roads this afternoon and during the evening commute, and visibility could drop to less than a mile at times.
The high temperature is expected to be 27. Tonight, the low will fall to around 18 degrees with calm winds.

Due to the fact that I live 2 blocks from work, I'm concerned about the long drive as well...oh wait...my car isn't moving out of the parking space...sorry...hehehe...don't hate me cuz I don't commute...

Yes, take the bus. Presuming you already drove to your workplace, perhaps in Ann Arbor? Leave your car there, and will only take you three hours or more to get home, rather than your usual 30 minute-or-so commute. The bus system outside of Ann Arbor is a joke.

@dading, that sounds almost dirty...but I don't think you're gonna find it difficult to get anyone to take the over! I'd have to go with BornNRaised line of more cops and tows than salter and plows....

I think the city plows/salts during regular business hours but will only do so after hours if it's 4 or more inches so they don't have to pay overtime to the drivers.
