Ann Arbor woman accused of stabbing man in Dicken Drive home

By Lee Higgins

A 33-year-old Ann Arbor woman was arrested this morning after she stabbed a man in the chest with a knife in a home on the city's west side, Ann Arbor police Det. Sgt. Pat Hughes said.

The 34-year-old victim, who also is from Ann Arbor, is in stable condition at University of Michigan Hospital, Hughes said. The woman is in a relationship with the man, Hughes said.

Hughes said the stabbing occurred at about 2:45 a.m. after a dispute in a Dicken Drive home. The victim suffered a single stab wound, police said.

The man was driven to the hospital by the woman and one of her friends, Hughes said. Hospital employees notified police of the incident, Hughes said.

The woman is at the Washtenaw County Jail as prosecutors review the case.
