Incumbent Margie Teall, D-4th Ward, and her challenger in the Aug. 3 Democratic primary, Jack Eaton, are expected be on hand at Dicken Elementary School.

"All 4th Ward residents are invited to meet the candidates, ask questions on important ward and city issues, hear the candidates responses and gain their perspective to guide your vote," reads the event invitation from Greg Hebert and Thomas Johnson, 4th Ward co-chairs for the Ann Arbor Democratic Party.

The forum will take place inside the school auditorium and multipurpose room from 7-8:30 p.m.

The school is located at 2135 Runnymede Blvd.

Glad to see this notice about a forum to be held at Dicken -- Maybe there will be an opportunity to address the "New Fall Leaf Pickup" plan...or as I feel, a "NO-Plan" now --- We are all to be expected to "Fit" our leaves in newly to be purchased Compost bins and / or paper lawn bags -- Starting this Fall, 2010. There will no longer be a Fall Leaf Pickup with the Pay-Loaders and Dump trucks!!! We all have received this notice last week in the mail (I am curious how many residents saw this single green stapled sheet in the mailbox and tossed it thinking it to be another sales flyer!!!) Well, I have HUGE concerns about this new "No - Pick up Plan " as our residence has Mountains of leaves each year after I make many Tarp trips to drag leaves to the street. The city conveniently slid this notice to us all in June! I am sure there are many many people who are not aware of this change. I have emailed daily the 4th Ward council reps and Mayor Hieftje daily now for 4 straight days without any response at all from the city. Lets go to this forum at Dicken to meet our current and possible new council person!!! Come on People, Lets get on this Train NOW!
