Argument over keys leads to shooting in Ypsilanti
An argument over a set of keys led to shots being fired in Ypsilanti late Thursday night, according to the Ypsilanti Police Department.
No one was hit or injured during the incident, police say.
Police said in a release that a 48-year-old man used his car to chase down a 35-year-old woman and four others after an argument broke out in the 900 block of West Michigan Avenue. He then shot at them.
The suspect fled, but returned an hour later and fired another three or four shots after the woman spotted him and tried to read his license plate, according to the press release.
Police say no one was hit, but a nearby vehicle was damaged.
The man has been identified but has not yet been arrested.

Do you really think banning guns would have prevented this guy from owning a gun? Assuming that the suspect here is guilty, one should keep in mind that criminals very seldom legally own their guns.

Maybe instead of talking "bans" on vehicles and guns, we should talk bans on idiocy and stupidity.

According to police reports, the keys allegedly belonged to the suspect. The press release said the car drove on the grass to chase the victims. The facts reported were the only information available at the time. Phone calls to the police department have not yet been returned. More information will be reported as it becomes available.

Did she have keys? Did he have keys? Were they lost? Did she want keys? Did he want keys? Can we complete the story or not publish it without facts? Was she in a car? Was one of the other four people involved?
