Artwork, furniture reported stolen from University of Michigan Thayer Building

The University of Michigan Department of Public Safety reports that 11 pieces of artwork and 10 pieces of furniture were stolen last week from the Thayer Building, 202 S. Thayer at Washington.

The pieces of Asian art included three masks, prints, a painting and a photograph, according to a press release from U-M DPS. Tables and chairs were also taken. No value was announced for the stolen items.

The thefts were reported Monday, and investigation has put the theft between 8:30 p.m. April 30 and 9 a.m. May 1, DPS said.

A photo gallery on the U-M DPS website shows items similar to those stolen.
