Advocates of embryonic stem cell research Monday told each other at the World Stem Cell Summit in Detroit that they need to stay vigilant against opposition to their science, The Detroit News reported today.
The article quotes Jack Mosher, an assistant research scientist at the University of Michigan. “Seems like we’re always looking over our shoulder to see what’s next,” he said.
Opponents say embryonic stem cell research is immoral because it requires destroying an embryo left over from fertility treatments.
