By Lee Higgins
Ann Arbor police are investigating two attempted thefts of 2004 Chrysler Sebrings on the city's south side.
One occurred in the 1200 block of Astor Avenue on Tuesday between 1:30 and 9 a.m. The other occurred in the 2900 block of Birch Hollow Drive between 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday.
In both cases, the front driver's side door locks were damaged, and the ignition was punched.

I am so disappointed. One would think that at the very least, A2 thugs would try to take an Audi, Beemer or even a Volvo...must have been non residents.

@frustrated, the headline "Attempted thefts of Chrysler Sebrings" would indicate the thefts were unsucessful and the cars were not taken anywhere else to be recovered and therefore in place for the police to see if the ignitions were punched.... Hope that helps.

Hi cinnabar7071, Thanks for the comment. I wasn't able to determine if the Sebrings were the same color by reviewing the police reports. In one of the reports, I didn't see the color listed.

I bet somebody smashed their 2004 sebring, and are trying to steal one for parts. Were both sebrings the same color?
