Ann Arbor firefighters extinguished a 2000 Audi A4 that burst into flames behind the TCF Bank behind the Plymouth Road Mall on Wednesday morning.

The driver of the Audi pulled into the parking lot after having brake trouble, said Battalion Chief Robert Vogel.

The driver smelled smoke and got out of the vehicle, subsequently seeing smoke and fire coming from underneath the hood, Vogel said.

Firefighters were sent at 10 a.m. to 2733 Plymouth Road and found the car fully engulfed in flames, Vogel said. The fire was quickly extinguished and crews were able to leave the area after about 30 minutes, he said.

No one was injured in the blaze.
