Augusta Township Fire Department gets grants for ATV purchase

The Augusta Township Fire Department has received grants that will help it purchase an all-terrain vehicle to fight brush fires and make off-road rescues, Fire Chief Vic Chevrette said.

The department has received a $5,000 matching grant from the State Department of Natural Resources and a $2,500 grant from Monsanto Corp., Chevrette said.
