An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday and the investigation continues into the discovery of an 18-year-old man found dead in wooded area in Ann Arbor, according to police.

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said Tuesday morning that an autopsy would be done on the man during the day and the family has been notified. However, police are not releasing the man’s name to this point.

She said there are no more details to be released on the man’s death, which is being investigated as suspicious.

Two people found the 18-year-old man's body about 2:15 p.m. Sunday near Eisenhower Parkway and Eisenhower Place. Police said the man’s age and the fact that he was found in a wooded area with no identification lead them to believe his death is suspicious.

Police believe the man’s body was in the wooded area for less than a day or two.

At some point, is there a reporter in you takes over and you interview someone else besides the police? Lack of an uproar and simple scans of the obits over the last few days indicate he is probably not from ann arbor. The minimal concern means that the next official police response will be "We need to wait 6-8 weeks for the toxicology report to come back." By then people will care even less than they do now. This investigative method has not helped the murdered EMU coed get justice. However, in the meantime involving the public did help catch the Boston Marathon bombers.

a2citizen- Part of the problem with this particular case is that we have no identification on this individual. Police have refused to release his name, for reasons we're unclear on, and we're pressing them for that information. It's hard to find out the circumstances behind a person's death when you don't know who the person is - it makes it difficult to get started. We have tried to get in contact with the people who found this man. To this point, they have not responded. We'll report as much information as we can get on this when we have it, but unfortunately not all the details of an incident reveal themselves right away.

Any update on this story?

A2PP- At this point, there's nothing new police can release. John Counts spoke with police today and they said they're still investigating and still not releasing the man's name.

A few observations: 1. I navigated to this article through your "Crime" section. Is it safe to assume the police feel this way? 2. If the headline said "teenager" instead of "man" you would probably get more page hits. Which leads to my next observation. 3. The question has been asked before but I will ask again: what determines your use of the word "teenager" vs "man"?

I suppose that when your age includes the word "teen" in it somewhere, you would still be considered a teenager. This person was eighteen. However, eighteen is also considered an adult in many respects, ie: they are old enough to vote and go to war. Hard call to make and a very good question, a2. What say you, Annarbor.com?

1980. A good friend of mine was found in a not so similar situation unlike this of our unknown 18 friend here. Good luck to the family.

Resident A2: How do you know he was murdered? I don't think there's enough information available to conclude that. He could have died any number of ways. What makes you think it was murder?

because murders or attemps happen just about every year.

It has not been determined if it is a murder. My thoughts & prayers are with the friends and family of this teen. I am very sad.

Ann Arbor had a serial killer on the loose back around 1980. How little we forget that scary one don't we? Let us hope this is not a 30 year repeat.

Resident A2- a suspicious death is simply one that cannot be attributed to natural causes and is not immediately apparent. While this could include a murder, it could also include a suicide or an accidental event.

"Police said the man's age and the fact that he was found in a wooded area with no identification lead them to believe his death is suspicious." Perhaps it was a natural death, but somehow I doubt it. Very seldom do 18 year olds die in a field with no identification. Maybe I'm wrong.

This is so tragic. This man was a son, sibling, father, or friend to many. What makes people feel so entitled that they feel that they have the right to take the life of a person, regardless of the situation. I am just so sick of these murderers among us!

There was a death of a girl over 30 years ago found on the front lawn of her parents home. Very tragic for an 18 year old as well. Remember that one? Very scary to think someone is out there and we have no idea who it is and why. Stay safe.

I agree. I will point out that, no matter your religious beliefs the book of Genesis written more than 2000 years ago describes brother murdering brother . So its been around "forever".

I used to run on that road when I wanted to add some extra mileage without having to get too close to State street. It's very quiet and isolated back there - particulary on the weekends. I certainly hope they can get to the bottom of this in order to give his family some peace.
