Belleville High student located unharmed after disappearing more than 2 months ago

By Amalie Nash

A 15-year-old Belleville High School student missing for more than two months was found Friday, Canton Township police said.

Devon Kroetsch was reported missing March 1 by her foster mother after she failed to return home that afternoon. She was found Friday afternoon at a house in Eastpointe, police said.

During the time she was missing, police received a number of tips reporting sightings of her in Ypsilanti, Belleville, Sumpter, Redford, Detroit, and Waterford.

A Facebook page dedicated to finding Devon - which amassed 7,694 fans as of today - will now be dedicated to helping to locate other missing juveniles, the page says.

Devon was turned over to Wayne County youth authorities, police said.

Rushing to judge because...? Kids often communicate by their actions, especially when their feelings are overwhelmingly frightening or unacceptable by the most important people in their lives.

Weird - are there any more details to this story? Who she was with, why, did she "run away," etc? Glad she's safe, but am curious.
