Bemis Road in Pittsfield Township closed due to downed power line

The Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety is advising motorists to avoid Bemis Road from Platt to Carpenter because of a downed power line.
Bemis has closed and will require a detour of traffic, the department said in a Nixle alert sent around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Reports indicated that corrections officers were still able to access the nearby Huron Valley Correctional Facility.
