Black patients more likely to receive worse in-hospital cardiac arrest care than white patients

By Tina Reed

Black patients receive worse cardiac care and have lower chances of surviving a cardiac arrest in the hospital compared to white patients, a recent study completed by a University of Michigan researcher found.

Much of the difference is attributed to poor-performing hospitals where black patients are more likely to receive care, according to the study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

About half of black patients were resuscitated after an in-hospital cardiac arrest, compared to 67.5 percent of white patients.

Black patients also were more likely to be sicker when admitted, more likely to stay in a hospital unit that wasn’t monitored and stay in a hospital that has worse patient outcomes for cardiac arrest.

The study was completed with doctors from St. Lukes Mid-America Heart Institute, the University of Washington, Yale University and Duke University. They used data from the American Heart Association’s National Registry of Cardiopulmunary Resuscitation.

Of course the headline is designed to imply something a bit different from the facts that it's the poor performing hospitals and not racism, at the root. Cheap, tried & true method to hook you in. Not that the fine folks at A2.com are in on the bigger picture of social engineering, willingly ignorant is possible but more likely a programmed outlook like most... The Social Engineers that have plotting and obviously succeeding to large extent want us to be divided because it allows them to divide and... Black/White Left/Right Etc. Ask yourself why the President: A. Has Czars... in America B. One of them John Holdren, I believe is his name... The top Science & medical "Czar" wrote a book... HIS WORDS... and outlined his desire and plan to poison the U.S. Water supply in order to "STERILIZE" the U.S. population. Why isn't this the #1 story here and on the precious TV where most of you believe whatever your told and if not are pushed into one of these false paradigm conflicts. From Birth to grave they are planning your life. "...receive worse cardiac care and have lower chances of surviving a cardiac..." what is "worse" next, can we put this black/white garbage where it belongs? why keep bringing it up? we wonder why there's still racial profiling? could it be because we get reminded of it on a regular basis?
