By Kyle Feldscher

Divers are searching for the missing 46-year-old Green Oak Township man reported missing on Whitmore Lake on Sunday, according to a report in the Livingston Daily Press & Argus.

This is the third day of the search for the man who went fishing Sunday and never returned. The missing man’s boat was found in the water on Monday, but the man has still not been found.

The area where the boat was found is about 70 to 80 feet deep, according to the report.

Being a rescue/recovery diver is something I would never want to do. Being in 70 to 80 feet of muddy, murky water, without being able to see a few feet in front of you is not my idea of a fun time. But I thank God that there are people willing to do it. Kudos to them!! And thank you!!

Lake has some deep sections, which are very muddyand really hard to see in as spings stir up mud. Not nearly as easy to find someone there as most would think.

This is very sad. I'm very surprised that they haven't located him by now. Thanks for the updates.
