Candidates from 5 local political races to take stage at West Washtenaw Business Association forum

The West Washtenaw Business Association is hosting a political forum Oct. 10 to give voters a chance to hear from candidates in five local races on the November ballot.

That includes Jim Fink and Carol Kuhnke, two local attorneys competing for the open judge seat on the Washtenaw County's 22nd Circuit Court bench.

Democrat Chuck Warpehoski and Republican Stuart Berry, who are competing for the open 5th Ward seat on the Ann Arbor City Council, also are invited, as well as U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, and his Republican challenger Cynthia Kallgren.

State Rep. Mark Ouimet, R-Scio Township, and Saline Mayor Gretchen Driskell, a Democrat, also are expected to attend. They're competing for the 52nd District state House seat.

WLBY's Lucy Ann Lance and Paula Gardner, local content director at AnnArbor.com, will co-moderate the forum at Weber’s Inn, 3050 Jackson Road, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
