Carpenter and Bemis Roads in Pittsfield Township to become four-way stop Monday

By Lisa Allmendinger

The intersection of Carpenter Road and Bemis Road in Pittsfield Township will be converted into a four-way stop on Monday by the Washtenaw County Road Commission.

Both roads will remain open with intermittent lane closures, and it’s expected that the change over will be completed Monday, but the date is tentative due to weather conditions.

That should be entertaining. I would recommend that WCRC monitor the effect of that when school starts. There is likely to be a serious backup in both directions, morning and afternoons!

You can say that again! It's already bad enough the way it is with moving traffic let alone the backup that's going to happen on Sept. 6. I would think that a traffic light would be more effective. Good luck with that one.
