39th annual Chelsea Painters Art Fair this weekend at Silver Maples

This weekend marks the 39th annual Chelsea Painters Art Fair, an event where visitors can take a closer look and purchase artwork from about 25 local artists.

The art fair will take place in a new location in the courtyard of Silver Maples of Chelsea from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 100 Silver Maples Drive.

Award-winning artists will display and sell original fine art and cards in a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, gouache, encaustic and mixed media.

The event is free and wheelchair accessible in a park-like outdoor setting.

In addition, the Chelsea Center for the Arts will offer free, hands-on art activities for children. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to both Chelsea Center for the Arts and the Chelsea Community Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship Fund. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted.
