Candidates for trustee, supervisor face off in Sylvan Township

Four newcomer candidates are vying for two open Sylvan Township trustee seats in the Nov. 6 election, the Chelsea Standard reported.

Current supervisor Robert Lange also is seeking re-election against current Trustee Scott Cooper, the newspaper said.

Candidates for trustee are: Kurt P. Koseck (R), Roy Schmidt (R), Sandra J. Egeler (D) and Alex Slocum (no party affiliation).

Douglas M. Smith is running unopposed for township clerk, while Rodney J. Branham is running unopposed for treasurer.
