Check this list of road closures beginning Saturday for railroad crossing work

Check out this list of local roads with Norfolk Southern railroad crossings that will be closed beginning this weekend. The roads in the area of these crossings will be closed for railroad crossing work.

Saturday-Sunday:

Dancer Road between Beach Road and Dexter-Chelsea Road. The posted detour is Dexter-Chelsea Road to Wylie Road to Island Lake Road.

Sunday-Monday:

Dexter-Chelsea Road between Fletcher Road and Lima Center Road. The posted detour is Dexter Chelsea Road Service Drive to Lima Center Road.

Monday only:

Lima Center Road between Dexter-Chelsea Road and Dexter-Chelsea Road Service Drive. The posted detour is Dexter-Chelsea Road Service Drive to Dexter-Chelsea Road.

Monday-Tuesday:

Maple Road between Stein Road and Huron River Drive at the Foster Road bridge. The posted detour is Stein Road to Tubbs Road to Huron River Drive.

Tuesday-Wednesday:

Zeeb Road between Peters Road and Huron River Drive. The posted detour is Dexter-AnnArbor Road to the Village of Dexter Truck Route to Mast Road to Joy Road.

Thursday-Friday:

Huron River Drive between Tubbs Road and Wagner Road. Posted detour is Zeeb Road to Miller Road to Wagner Road.

Be advised that these temporary closures are weather dependent.

Stay off westbound I-94 west of Ann Arbor/Saline Road. It's been a parking lot all day.

We can only hope this will mean a return to regular (faster) speeds along the stretch of track from Dearborn to Kalamazoo. But, somehow, I doubt it.
