Crash closes Old U.S. 12 near Chelsea

Old U.S. 12 was closed Monday morning near Freer Road in the Chelsea area as authorities investigated a crash.
A report of the crash came in about 4:15 a.m., a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said about 7:30 a.m. Michigan State Police were handling the crash investigation, he said.
The road was closed east of Freer Road, the dispatcher said. No further information was immediately available.
