Teachers in the Chelsea School District will get a 2 percent raise under a new two-year contract the school board and the district’s teachers union have approved, Chelsea Update reported.
The Chelsea school board approved the contract Monday night, while teachers approved it Sept. 7, the news website reported. The contract includes higher contributions for health insurance coverage from both teachers and the district.
Teachers have been without a contract since July 1.
