Dust control, no major road projects planned in Lyndon Township this year

By Lisa Allmendinger

Lyndon Township residents shouldn’t expect any major road projects this year but their gravel roads will see three applications of dust control.

It will cost about $35,600 to brine the township’s roads, and the cost to the township is about $23,350. The Road Commission will pick up the difference through matching funds.

In 2011, about $19,600 was spent on local roads by the township while a total of about $237,370 was spent by the Road Commission. Major projects included ditching on Beeman Road from Waterloo Road to Cassidy Road and ditching and a new culvert on Boyce Road west of M-52.
