Overnight detours planned for I-94 and M-52 south of Chelsea this week

By Amy Biolchini

A number of overnight detours are planned along high traffic routes south of Chelsea this week as work crews install hot mix asphalt on southbound M-52 and the westbound Interstate 94 exit ramp to M-52.

From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday on southbound M-52, traffic will be funneled between I-94 and Old US Highway 12 as crews pave the southbound lanes and left-turn lanes.

The westbound I-94 off-ramp to M-52 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday for paving.

Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the on-ramp from M-52 to westbound I-94 will be closed for paving.

The suggested detour during the ramp closures is Old US Highway 12.
