Police say a 16-year-old boy in the Chelsea School District was arrested and accused of making threats against a teacher online, MLive.com reports.

These county borderlands have been dangerous for generations, their woodlands littered with unknown remains. Don't go there without a pure heart.

Either. With electronic crime it can usually be prosecuted where ever it touches down or where it was initiated.

You're never in danger until the violence begins. What an inane comment.

This is sad. I surely hope that this individual gets the help that he needs to move forward in society.

This child has had almost no parenting his whole life. The parents were around, just unwilling to parent, along with the grandparents. If other adults attempted to show even slight discipline it was "Don't you be telling my kid what to do!!" It is absolutely no surprise to me that it has come to this. Likely we will be picking up his housing tab for much of his adult life, in places like Jackson and Marquette.

Billy, I hope your comment is more accurate than mine. Maybe this event will enable him to get the help he needs. I've tried to offer help but have only been rebuffed.

If you know this boy, you should not be making such comments about him. Among other things, did you ever hear of the self-fulfilling prophecy? Many young people (millions and millions and millions and millions) have survived poor or absent parenting and figured things out, often due to someone who believes in them and helps them to find their way. Condemning a sixteen year old kid to a life in prison is unconscionable.

How can someone at MLive say the school was not in any danger at any time?

Linda, the story says " Police said teachers or students were never in any danger" not mlive. If you read the linked story, that comment is attributed to a new release from the Jackson County Sheriffs office.

Hi treetowncartel: I spoke with Chelsea police and they said it's a Jackson County case and any information will be released by them. Hope that helps.

I have to also wonder about the line "police says teachers or students were never in any danger" so how serious can this incident be?
