Sylvan Township Board makes appointments

The Sylvan Township Board unanimously appointed residents to four boards on Tuesday night.

LuAnn Koch, the township clerk, was reappointed to the Chelsea Area Fire Authority (CAFA) for five years while Reuben Lesser, a township trustee, was reappointed as the alternate. Currently, Koch serves as the chairman of the CAFA board, which has representatives from the member municipalities of the City of Chelsea and Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships.

Dawn Caplis was reappointed to the Chelsea District Library Board for another four-year term as the township representative. The library board is made up of members from district municipalities of the City of Chelsea and Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships.

Scott Cooper, also a Sylvan Township trustee, will continue to serve on the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express board, which is the local bus transportation board and Lesser will serve as the alternate.

Sylvan Supervisor Bob Lange was reappointed to the Leoni Township Authority Board that oversees the sewer treatment plant. Koch was reappointed as the alternate to the board.

i have never seen an electorate. tapayers.citizens etc. so oblivious to facts right before thier eyes if they would only pay attetion
