Western Washtenaw motorists to see road closures for railroad crossing work beginning Wednesday

Attention Western Washtenaw motorists: There are more road closures in your future this week, starting today.

Norfolk Southern Railway maintenance will take place at the railroad crossing on Fletcher Road between Trinkle and Dexter-Chelsea roads. That portion of the road is expected to be closed Wednesday morning through Friday night.

The Washtenaw County Road Commission has posted the following detour: Dexter-Chelsea Road to Freer Road to Old US-12.

Also beginning Wednesday morning, East Delhi Road between Huron River Drive and Miller Road will be closed for railroad crossing repairs for one day and is expected to remain closed through Thursday night.

The posted detour is Huron River Drive to Wagner Road to Miller Road.

Then Thursday morning, Wylie Road between Dexter-Chelsea and Island Lake roads will be closed for about a day.

The Road Commission has posted a detour of Dexter-Chelsea to Dancer Road to Island Lake Road.

All of these railroad crossing repairs are subject to change by the weather.
