Chilly weekend weather in store

By Bob Needham

Wasn't it just a couple days ago that we were enjoying temperatures in the mid-70s?

No such luck for the weekend, as the forecast calls for a high temperature of around 52 today and 50 on Sunday. A mix of clouds and sun is expected both days.

Many will no doubt be keeping more of an eye on the forecast low temperatures: 34 tonight and 32 Sunday. It won't be a surprise if a frost advisory issued for either night, so gardeners with tender vegetation they're still trying to nurse along may want to be ready.

Temperatures are expected to rebound a bit as the work week resumes, with a forecast high of 54 on Monday (low 37) and 64 on Tuesday (low 48).
