Ypsilanti police caught a naked man and partially clothed woman inside the Ypsilanti District Library early Tuesday.

Officers were called to the downtown branch, in the 200 block of West Michigan Avenue, at 2:20 a.m. when a burglary alarm activated, reports said.

Sgt. Kevin Dorsey said police aren't positive how they entered the library, but entry was not forced.

The man was naked, and Dorsey said he believes the woman also was at least partially unclothed. They were taken into custody for indecent exposure and trespassing.

Dorsey said there's no evidence they stole or attempted to steal anything.

The man was jailed on a parole violation, reports said. The case will be forwarded to prosecutors to determine additional criminal charges, police said.
