Crash blocks one lane of M-14 near U.S. 23 in Ann Arbor

By Cindy Heflin

State police were dealing with a crash blocking one lane of traffic on M-14 on the north side of Ann Arbor Tuesday morning.

The crash was on eastbound M-14 east of the west triple-decker intersection with US-23, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County sheriff’s department said. The crash was reported to be blocking the right lane.

State police were on the scene, the dispatcher said at 8:40 a.m. Further information was not immediately available.

Something needs to be done about this site. Widen the lanes, add extra lanes, decrease speed, I don't know what. But I hate seeing that there are daily crashes there. Just a few hours later there was another crash and someone has died. I know driving can be dangerous and there are many accidents per second, but maybe it's a sign that something needs to be fixed.

Seems like an almost every day occurrence out there. I wonder if it is partially due to all of those construction barrels, or people in too much of a hurry? Or both?

There was one last nite around 4PM at the same location. I heard that one. Had everything backed up for miles. I still say, ancient burial ground curse.
