Crash slowing commute on I-94 in Ann Arbor

By Cindy Heflin

A crash could slow the morning commute for motorists on I-94 in the Ann Arbor area this morning.

State police were on the scene of a one-car crash at westbound I-94 near Stone School Road, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County sheriff's department said at 8 a.m.

The car was off the roadway, but slowdowns have been reported in the area.

When I drove by there west bound around 7:40 AM, there was a state boy sitting there with his lights on. It appeared the car was in the ditch for a while. Not sure when it occurred, but he should have kept his lights off, because there was no one in the car, and he added 20 minutes to all of our commutes. Need to get that highway made into 3 lanes from 23 to where 14 merges.
